Countable Noun adalah kata benda yang dapat dihitung, seperti buku, tas, topi, meja, kursi dan sebagainya.
Uncountable Noun adalah kata benda yang tidak dapat atau sulit dihitung, misalnya air, gula, pengetahuan, uang, kopi dan lain - lain.
Untuk menandai countable noun, letakan kata sandang a atau an di depannya.
Contoh :
a. I have a book.
b. The man bought a table.
c. Molly put an apple in the basket.
Untuk mengindikasikan Uncountable Noun dan juga Countable Noun kita menggunakan some atau the di depan kata - kata tersebut.
Contoh :
